The Tast­ing Room

Enjoy­ing the deli­cious vari­eties of Monte De Oro wines in our spec­tac­u­lar Tast­ing Room – the crown of the Monte De Oro Win­ery – is a one-of-a-kind experience.

Our 2,450 sq. ft. Main Tast­ing Room has an ambiance that is sophis­ti­cated and ele­gant, yet at the same time relax­ing and com­fort­able. A warm, invit­ing atmos­phere ele­vates every­one – from the wine novice to the expe­ri­enced oenol­o­gist – even before glasses have been filled. Whether it be the view of our Bar­rel Cel­lar from above, through the glass-floored tast­ing room, or the 180 degree panoramic view of Temec­ula Wine Coun­try from our Out­side Patio, Monte De Oro and it’s Tast­ing Room pro­vide the per­fect place to sit, sip and enjoy South­ern California’s Pre­mier Wines.

Our Tra­di­tional Tour and Tast­ing pro­vides a fas­ci­nat­ing and edu­ca­tional look inside a work­ing win­ery. You can sam­ple deli­cious wines, explore the wine­mak­ing process, and tour our beau­ti­ful grounds. Enjoy spec­tac­u­lar views of our of vine­yards. Includes tour, a tra­di­tional tast­ing  and behind the scenes visit to explore the wine­mak­ing process and taste wine from the oak bar­rels in our Under Ground Bar­rel Room.

Enjoy a pri­vate set­ting, while you are guided through Monte De Oro’s vine­yard and wine mak­ing process. You will taste, smell, and swirl your way through MDO’s lineup with sur­pris­ing and some­times hum­bling results. Tast­ings offer an infor­ma­tive intro­duc­tion to wine appre­ci­a­tion and a sam­ple of six Monte De Oro Vineyard’s wines and pri­vate bar­rel tast­ing, along with an Imported & Domes­tic Cheese Dis­play. (4 Per­son Min­i­mum, Reser­va­tions Required, Time 60 minutes) Includes our logo wine glass as a sou­venir of your visit!

Pair­ing of  Monte De Oro Wines  includ­ing our Reserves wines with  Hors d’oeuvres selected by our Exec­u­tive Chef along with our Wine­maker. Guided tour of the vine­yards, learn about your food selec­tions and why they pair well with spe­cific vari­etals of wine from our Som­me­lier.  Taste our reserve wines and sam­ple from our Oak Bar­rel.  (4 Per­son Min­i­mum, Reser­va­tions Required, Time 90 min­utes) Includes our logo wine glass as a sou­venir of your visit!

Pri­vate  tour and tast­ing with a Monte De Oro Owner. Includes 6 tastes, a spe­cial Taste of our Reserve Wine, Imported & Domes­tic Cheese dis­play, and His­tory of Monte De Oro. (8 Per­son Min­i­mum, Reser­va­tions Required, Time 90 min­utes) Includes our logo wine glass as a sou­venir of your visit!

Price varies on on menu selec­tion and wine experience.

In addi­tion to the Pri­vate Tour and Tast­ing, you can also enjoy lunch or din­ner in our Under Ground Bar­rel Room. The Bar­rel Room accom­mo­dates up to 250 guests and is the per­fect loca­tion to end your day at Monte De Oro. Choose your cus­tom lunch or din­ner menu from our deli­cious Wine Country-inspired dishes. You will also get to keep our logo wine glass a sou­venir of your visit!
